2016 UCORE Assessment Summary of Student Achievement Available

The 2016 UCORE Assessment Summary of Student Achievement (PDF) is now available to WSU faculty, leadership, and other stakeholders. This report is intended to summarize results of UCORE-related student learning assessment on WSU’s Seven Learning Goals of the Baccalaureate, using data collected through 2016 and available to the UCORE Assessment subcommittee in Spring 2017.

The summary offers a general picture of student achievement and perceptions at the senior and first-year levels, intended to provide an overview related to these learning goals; the results reported are not longitudinal, but represent a cross-section of students.

In Spring 2016, UCORE appointed a subcommittee to assist in prioritizing planning, data collection and analysis for its assessment of student learning on WSU’s Seven Learning Goals of the Baccalaureate. This committee inventoried available assessment data collected for UCORE (through 2016) and developed findings and recommendations for improvements to assessment. Other assessment of student learning on these goals, such as assessment by degree programs or majors, is beyond the scope of the 2016 summary report.
