Collaborate with colleagues to empower your students to hone and communicate their career skills while satisfying requirements for your courses. Core to Career is currently available to faculty on the WSU Pullman and Vancouver campuses.

Apply to the Core to Career program

At the conclusion of the Fall workshop series, fellows present and receive feedback on course revision plans and then implement those plans in Spring semester. Therefore, we especially invite you to submit a course that you reasonably anticipate teaching in Spring semester so that you are best able to apply new ideas to course design and delivery following the Fall workshop series.

Not sure if you are teaching a UCORE course in Spring? Apply anyway!

Learning outcomes

Core to Career prepares faculty to empower students to…

  • Recognize why career readiness is an essential marker of a college graduate.
  • Describe in explicit ways how their coursework translates to career competencies sought by employers.
  • Build sets of portable evidence and stories that show how their coursework is relevant in contexts outside of the classroom.
  • Apply career readiness to the pursuit of professional and personal endeavors.
