Petitioning for UCORE Credit

Students may seek equivalency for UCORE credit earned outside of courses offered through the UCORE program. These may include:

• courses completed at another accredited college or university (many transfer courses have already been approved as equivalent to certain UCORE designations)
• courses taken during an education abroad experience (many education abroad courses have already been approved as equivalent to certain UCORE designations)
• WSU courses that do not hold UCORE designation, including Honors courses

Students should work with advisors to complete and submit a petition to the University Requirement Petitions committee: univreq.petitions@wsu.edu. When submitting the petition form, please accompany the form with a course syllabus, a current copy of the student’s WSU Academic Requirement record, and if applicable, transcripts from other institutions.
